Dallas Startup Happy Hour Monday 2/1
If your new year’s resolution included getting more involved with the Dallas startup ecosystem, showing up at the monthly Dallas Startup Hour this Monday (February 1) is required. Here’s the information:
“Are you an entrepreneur? Do you work for a startup or small business? Looking for a job? Looking for a partner? Looking for angel investment? Come on by for a drink and some fellowship with like-minded folks from North Texas. The event is in the INFOMART (1950 Stemmons Freeway) at the corner of Oak Lawn and I-35. We get started around 5PM, hope to see you there. Just RSVP here.”
As a special treat, Rylan Barnes will be showing off how blazing fast the ShopSavvy 1.3 is for iPhone 3Gs models. (It is wicked fast. I was scanning with it this morning.)

Is there a calendar published with meeting notices? Are the meetings on a regular date? When will the next meeting occur?
Doug-
They are the first Monday of every month (same location). Check out Texas Startup Blog for more details.
Ryan:
I went to go RSVP on the link you provided, but the page it took me to did not have anywhere to sign up……do I need to do this in order to attend this evening?
Susan,
You just need a yahoo id to rsvp on the upper right corner of the page. RSVP isn't required, but it is very helpful for the sponsor and host, Architel, to get a heads up on the attendance.
Ryan:
Thanks for the quick response! One further question – I found this event last night on Yahoo Upcoming and was very interested in attending, but not sure if it would be a good fit. I am not an entrepreneur, however, I have worked for a number of start up & small business companies and have extensive experience in business process automation, employee benefits/HR/risk management, and commerical insurance (have my license). I am currently working for a very large firm, but am wanting to get back to the smaller business environment. Would this be a good venue for me to attend & possibly network with potential employers? Thanks again for your help!
