An Inside Round is a financing round led primarily by existing investors rather than new outside investors, often when external demand is limited or speed/confidentiality is prioritized. In a down or flat market, an Inside Round can provide critical runway, and the Inside Round may involve term renegotiations, structure changes, or enhanced investor protections.
