Customary

In a venture M&A context, customary means terms, conditions, and deal protections that are standard or market‑typical for transactions of similar size, stage, and risk profile (i.e., not unusually buyer‑ or seller‑favorable).

This is typically seen on term sheets as “customary” describing a specific deal term.
