A Drive-By VC refers to an investor who engages briefly (requests materials, takes an intro meeting) but does not meaningfully advance to partner-level discussion, diligence, or a term sheet. Drive-By VC interactions consume founder time, and repeated Drive-By VC cycles can slow fundraising progress.
