Floatation

Floatation is the process by which a company becomes publicly traded, most commonly through an initial public offering (IPO) (often called a “flotation” outside the U.S.). In an exit pathway, Floatation impacts valuation, liquidity, disclosure obligations, and the timing of when early investors can realize returns from the Floatation.
