Depreciation

Depreciation is an accounting method of allocating the cost of a tangible long-lived asset over its estimated useful life to reflect wear and tear, obsolescence, or usage, typically recorded as a non-cash expense that reduces reported earnings and the asset’s book value (and may differ from tax depreciation methods and schedules).
