Incentive Stock Option (ISO)

An Incentive Stock Option (ISO) is a type of employee stock option that can receive favorable U.S. tax treatment if statutory holding period and other requirements are met. In equity compensation planning, an Incentive Stock Option (ISO) is typically granted under an option plan, subject to vesting, and may trigger alternative minimum tax (AMT) considerations upon exercise.
