Runway

A Runway is the amount of time a company can continue operating before it runs out of cash, typically calculated as current cash balance divided by net burn rate. In venture planning, Runway drives fundraising timelines and risk management, and maintaining adequate Runway is a core board-level metric used to avoid forced financings.
